With the changing seasons, brings the beautiful weather!  How are you enjoying the longer, brighter days?  Outside sports? Casual walking? Training for a long run?  Or maybe you just have a bigger smile?

Going outside and getting a healthy dose of vitamin D has many positive affects on the body.  Such as, reducing your risk of multiple sclerosis, decreasing your chance of developing heart disease and helping to reduce your likelihood of developing the flu.

Did you know that children, teens and adults up to age 70 should get at least 600 IU of Vitamin D  each day?

A few ideas for leisurely, fun in the sun activities:

A park picnic, reading in a lounge chair, taking a 30 minute walk/jog, Frisbee golf, park play, gardening, fishing, hiking and so much more!

Make sure to always wear the right amount of SPF and keep the little ones covered!

So what are you waiting for? Get up, get out and get to soaking in some sun!! (Safely!)
